The Affiliate Process

As an affiliate, when you register, you are able to access your Affiliate Dashboard, by logging in to the Academy using your same email and password you created.

In your Affiliate Dashboard, you will be able to:
  • Get your unique affiliate links.
  • Generate Affiliate links to specific pages and courses. 
  • See how many times your referral link has been used or clicked. 
  • See how many leads you have generate i.e. how many learners have signed the Academy from your link but have not yet purchased a course. 
  • See how many of your leads have converted to customers by making purchases. 
  • See how much sales you have made.  
  • See how much commissions you have earned.
  • See the payments you have received and when.
  • Set their payment method you selected

Affiliate Dashboard

This is your Affiliate dashboard. Click on Dashboard by the menu on the left. Here you will see Your Unique Affiliate ID which will be used to create your referral links. 

Affiliate Financial Earnings

Still on the Dashboard, you will get a full picture of the following: 

  1. Sales: Total Sales you have made through your link
  2. latest Commission - This shows the Commissions you have earned from the latest one down to the earliest one. To see all your commissions, click on see all.
  3. Due Amount - This is your total commission that has completed the cycle and is now due for you to receive. 
  4. Payments Received - This is the Total Commission that has been approved by the Administrators and paid out to you. 

Your Payment Method

You have the opportunity to decide how you wish to be paid by clicking the Set Payment Method on your dashboard. There are three options: 

  1. PayPal - If you wish to receive your money by PayPal, simply enter your PayPal account details.
  2. Bank Transfer - Here is the most popular in Nigeria. Enter your Bank name, Account Number, Account Name. 
  3. Others - If you have any other preferred method of payment, enter the details here. 

The Method you choose will be reflected in your dashboard. 

Your Commission Percentage

As an affiliate, you can earn as high as 40-50% of the sales your link generates. Most affiliates start from 10% and rise up to this number depending on performance and agreements reached with the SME Digital Academy. 

Whatever percentage agreed upon will be reflected in your Dashboard and this will be used to calculate the Commission earned. 

Note: If your percentage should increase, it will only affect the commission earned from that date of increase and not previous sales made.

Your Leads and Customers - Watching it Grow

Now let us explain how the process works for you. 

Step 1 - Your share your link with family, friends and community. 
Step 2 - Someone clicks on the link. This will show on your Dashboard - your Ref. Link clicks will increase and show you you, at a glance, how many times your link has been clicked. Once the link is clicked, any purchases the person makes within 60 days, will still be attributed to you as long as the person uses the same browser. 
Step 3 - Someone is interested in what you shared and signs up to the Academy or creates an account. You will see this as Leads and this will increase even if the person has not made any purchases yet. Everything is very transparent and automatic - and only you will see this. So you will see your hard work even if the person is not yet ready to buy. 
Step 4 - The person now makes a purchase on the platform. This time your Referred customers will increase and the person will move from Leads to Customers. 
Step 5 - Automatically, your sales will increase, your commission will also increase. All is like magic - no human intervention. It is all automated.

  4. Affiliate to specific Courses - Sometime, as an affiliate, you may not be interest in referring or marketing the entire Academy. That is very fine. We have given you the option to select any product we have, be it a course, a subscription or a bundle. When you find the Course, simply click Create & Copy beside the course and start sharing at once.

Affiliate link to Specific Pages - in some cases, as an Affiliate, you may wish to only refer a particular page or special event or we may create a page just for you. In that case, all you need to do is copy the URL to that page, paste it into the School Page URL, then click on the create and copy.

Your Affiliate Link - How to Generate and Use your Links 

Affiliate to specific Courses - Sometimes, as an affiliate, you may not be interested in referring or marketing the entire Academy. That is very fine. We have given you the option to select any product we have, be it a course, a subscription or a bundle. When you find the Course, simply click Create & Copy beside the course and start sharing immediately.

If the Course has a coupon, you can also apply this before generating your Ref Link.
